Join us for a 3 hour introduction to the use of Lidar in Archaeology. We’ll start with the basics of what Lidar is and what it can tell us about the past. Together we will take a look at local examples including areas of historic woodland and Wappenbury Hillfort. By the end of the session you should be able to go home and look at areas that interest you, using your new skills in obtaining, manipulating and interpreting free lidar data. You can bring your own laptop if you would like to have a go yourself. This training session is part of the Dunsmore Living Landscape scheme. For more information please see www.exploredunsmore.org
