In some areas of Steetley Meadows, meadowsweet has spread rapidly and is taking over the sward. We conducted a survey of certain areas to assess the percentage cover, then these areas were mown and raked. In a couple of years we will see whether this management method of mowing twice a year has decreased the abundance of the meadowsweet.
