Approximately 50,000 young trees were planted in 2012 and 2013 by volunteers and staff from Rugby Borough Council (who own the site), to create a predominantly wooded landscape, with open glades. Long distance views have been retained with the creation of vistas to the open countryside beyond. The woodland is designed in fan-shaped blocks divided by 10m wide rides or walkways. The margins of the rides have been planted with predominantly shrubby species. The design allows a variety of circulatory routes around this country park. They will be treated as wildflower meadows with desire lines mown through or allowed to occur naturally. The site links to the adjacent Great Central Way.

When open, there are accessible toilets and parking spaces available at the adjacent Rainsbrook Cemetery and Crematorium. Please respect the needs of mourners if using these facilities. Access via adjacent Great Central Way, Onley Lane or Rainsbrook Crematorium. Equestrians can access the permissive route from Onley Lane via a specially-constructed, horse-friendly gate.
