From the picnic area and car park at Newton, the Great Central Walk begins at Five Arches Wildlife Site, managed by Butterfly Conservation Warwickshire. This site underwent extensive restoration work to benefit the local wildlife. This makes it a very spectacular site for walking and wildlife watching. The restoration was a project run by Butterfly Conservation in partnership with Newton and Biggin Parish Council.
